Miss Clara

The hotel used to be the girl’s school Atheneum in 1910.

During our three day trip to Stockholm we had the pleasure of staying at Miss Clara, the latest hotel from the dynamic Nobis Group. We took the 20 min. Train from Arlanda Airport to the city center and had a 10 min. walk to the hotel. Very convenient and easy accessible.

The hotel used to be the girl’s school Atheneum in 1910. Under supervision of architect Gert Wingårdhs the school has been transformed into an unique design hotel with 92 rooms where the Art Nouveau history is combined with modern Scandinavian design.

We had one of the beautiful Standard Double rooms with dark herringbone parquet floor and 180 cm bed with Egyptian bed sheets. So we learned. The floor led into a storage space where we found a mini fridge, safe deposit and our warm white bathrobes. Miss Clara used the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful view of the Adolf Fredriks Församling church by placing a on-top seating. The bathroom has a timeless and fresh design with limestone and white tiles. Even the bathroom products have a minimalistic design with their white package and black sans serif brand name.

After an amazing sleep, our visit to the sauna the night before definitely helped, we went downstairs for breakfast. A buffet with everything you are craving for. To name a few things; homemade granola and jams, croissants and cinnamon buns, freshly baked (gluten-free) bread, the best quality salmon. And the possibility of baking your own waffles.
