“Although there are many discussions, I definitely get why people call Paris the ‘city of love’. The city is magical. With her beautiful architecture, café culture and dreamy atmosphere. Wandering around for hours passing by the famous Louvre, Eiffel and Sacré-Cœur. Our love affair found place in neighbourhoods as Le Marais and Montmartre with many hotspots to check out. We visited some of these places for our Cityguide Paris. Hope you like it!”

08:00 – Waking up at C.O.Q.

C.O.Q. Hotel, 15 Rue Edouard Manet, website

We arrived late on Friday evening, after a three hour trip with Thalys. The night we spend in boutique hotel C.O.Q., a 50-room boutique hotel in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. A laid-back, guesthouse atmosphere where we could pour ourselves a glass of French red wine. Great start of the weekend.

Waking up here as lovely as the sun came through our window. As I always say, breakfast is the best moment of the day. The hotel’s buffet made me extremely happy. Homemade granola, cheeses, croissants. Everything I wished for.

10:00 – Coffee break at Ten Belles.

Ten Belles, 10 Rue de la Grange aux Belles

12:00 – Chocolate bread for lunch.

Liberte, 39 Rue des Vinaigriers

11:30 – From Saint Martin we walked down the canal to La Marais. Perfect area if you are up for some shopping as it has many concept and fashion stores. We sat down for a coffee at The Broken Arm, which is in front of a small park where people were enjoying the sun. As you can see in the pictures, it was so quiet!

19:30 – Italian food for dinner.

Next morning we had un petit breakfast in our room with The Hoxton’s breakfast bags. Around ten we went out again to visit Montmartre. We walked up via Rue des Martyrs which is apparently a really street with many bakeries, coffee bars and take-away! Like PainPain and KB Cafeshop.
